Karla, a Mexican product designer and ceramic artist, moved to Italy in 2013 and founded Geografica in 2014—a ceramic brand and home studio in rural Lazio. What is included in the clay workshop?
The registration fee provides: material (stoneware clay) and high temperature firing of maximum 3/4 small objects without glaze. Due to the reduced time, it will not be possible to glaze your pieces. The final appearance will be similar to the pictures. However, you can use them in domestic environments as they will be food safe.
Are my pieces going to be foodsafe and waterproof?
Although your pieces are not glazed, they will be vetrified and waterproof.
How should I take care of my pieces?
I recommend you to wash them by hand, with common soap, avoiding washing them in bleach. In case of food or tea stains, you can soak them overnight in a solution of 50% water and 50% vinegar.
When will I get my part ready to use?
A waiting period of 4 to 5 days is required before your items are ready to be delivered. Karla will do her best to get it to you before your departure.
How do I register to the workshop?
You can register in advance via email with INSYNC CLUB or directly at the venue up to one day before the workshop.
How will the payment be made?
Payment will be made directly to Karla on the day of the workshop. Please note that Karla accepts cash payment only.
